Arena in Pula
Categories: Creativity and culture, English, Photo, TextArena in Pula is one of the largest and best preserved Roman Amphitheatres in the world. It was built in limestone in a period between 27 BC and 81 AD, during the reigns of four Roman emperors Augustus, Claudius, Vespasian and Titus.
While constructed as a venue for gladiator games, today it is used as a spectacular open air theatre for the Pula Film Festival and numerous concerts.
