Dolac Market in Zagreb, Croatia

The biggest and most popular market in Zagreb, Dolac, was officially opened on its current location on September 1st 1930. The market  was previously located on the main Zagreb square, Trg bana Josipa Jelačića.

Dolac Market offers diverse products from croatian fields: from carrots, cabbages, cucumbers, all through strawberries, bananas, apples. Women sellers are called ”kumica”, a name given to hard working females who were, in the past, walking to Zagreb from Zagreb district to come to the market and sale their fresh cheese and sour creme.
